When I finally entered Yosemite Valley and witnessed its beauty with my own eyes, it was as if the entire world stood still. I recognized in myself an instant connection to it - I felt as though I was a child again, truly able to marvel at something new, yet familiar to my soul. Muir was correct (in speaking of Yosemite) when he said “no holier temple has ever been consecrated by the heart of man”
